Tea Towels

So I have been doing a LOT of teas towels recently. I am mainly pleased with my creations and am learning a lot – mainly that there is a real ‘knack’ and I have made a few mistakes along the way for sure…

Not the end of the world though as I can use these prototypes in the kitchen and see how well they wear. I would also like to research further options for getting tea towels professionally printed to save myself a lifetime of ironing and burnt fingers but it perhaps might be a bit out of my budget at the moment. I don’t want to have to charge a lot of money per tea towel to break even, and estimates so far are looking towards ¬£5 per tea towel!

In other news I have replaced my camera, by taking out a small (!) loan because I just couldn’t get by without. iPhones just aren’t enough sometimes!

I’m still getting to grips with photographing my work though… the light in our flat is pretty awful and I’m not overly happy with these photos – they looked fine on the tiny camera screen but on my Mac they came out to dark! This is something I need to work on for sure…

Anyone got any tips for photographing artwork/products? Advice would be appreciated.
